Embassy Islamabad advance visa: PKR 8,700 (15 days), PKR 14,500 (30 days), PKR 36,250 (90 days). Extensions at the Department of Immigration: USD 45 for 15 days, then USD 3 per day; up to 150 days per visa year.

Fill in the arrival form
Do it online on Nepali Port before you fly. Keep a passport photo with you. nepaliport-new.immigration.gov.np ↗
Land at Tribhuvan International Airport
Join the visa on arrival queue. Main land border points issue it too.
Get the visa stamped
First visit of the calendar year: free for 30 days. Later visits: pay USD 30, 50 or 125 in cash.

Do
- Carry a passport photo for the visa desk.
- Carry US dollars in cash if this isn't your first visit this year.
- Count your days. The free visa covers 30.
- Extend at the Department of Immigration before your visa runs out.
Don't
- Don't assume a second trip in the same year is free.
- Don't overstay. Extensions start at USD 45 for 15 days.
- Don't pay an agent for "visa approval". The visa is issued on arrival.
- Don't cross at a small border point that doesn't issue visas.
